The Ignite New Portal Product Invites Employees and Anyone Else
“For years, Ignite Technologies has happily integrated its content delivery solution (CDS) and peer-assisted push technology through a client’s preexisting portals. That portal was built upon any type of database architecture such as Active Directory or Sharepoint. That all assumes a company already has a portal to share content internally. But that’s not always the case.
Many customers who don’t have a portal are seeking a YouTube-like frontend that has the ability to consume, publish, share, rate, and comment on videos,” said Fabian Gordon, CTO of Ignite Technologies.
“Not only can the system be built with a client’s existing security model, only allowing certain people access to the system, but if a client wants, the portal can be opened to others who aren’t within the company’s network or Active Directory,” said Gordon.
As they’ve been testing and refining the portal, Gordon said they’ve learned that the key to success is simplification: for users, managers, and publishers.
